Implement real-time visibility and control of the operation's industrial data.
Context
One of our clients is a global producer of vegetable oils and fats and had a highly complex process with no data history. Without this visibility, the industry found it difficult to analyze process variations, identify process inefficiencies, make comparisons of operating scenarios or even detect fluctuations due to external influences.
Benefits
We have delivered a product to this major client that allows them to collect and store data without limiting the number of process variables. The variables are TAGs, i.e. "tags" that identify variables to be monitored, such as the temperature of a machine or the pressure in a tank.
These TAGs are created according to customer demand, guaranteeing highly scalable observability in the industrial environment. Data can be collected from different PLCs in the automation network. A PLC is a Programmable Logic Controller, a device that is the "brain" of industrial automation, receiving and sending information from different sensors and equipment.
Our product uses the IEC 61499 standard to access the PLC as a data source, transforming previously unrecorded data into valuable and strategic information, gaining these benefits:
Comprehensive overview
Our client currently monitors more than 500 variables, meeting the growing demands of its operation. All data can be accessed easily, with variables being added, removed and edited without limitations and at no additional cost

The customer monitors data from 7 PLCs of different models;

The customer's team quickly adapted to the product due to its user-friendly interface and now has more than 25 different users who can access the data and create their own dashboards.
Results
This important industry in the vegetable oils and fats sector started with the initial reading of 80 variables on 2 PLCs, via 4 customized dashboards.
With a trained team, they now have autonomy to monitor data from 7 PLCs, with more than 500 variables collected and 30 active dashboards.
This demonstrates that, with the right training, our customers and integrators are able to manage autonomously and efficiently.
